Influence of Culture in Ethical Decision Making
American and Chinese ways of thinking are different in that in American culture; it is based on doing what is right because if you do not, there will be an outcome that is not good.
In Chinese culture their belief is to lean towards loyalty of those they know first and not strangers. They also determined in the study that the higher the education level for Americans, the more they thought of a universal mindset whereas the Chinese thought of a more local mindset (Zheng, Gray, & Zhu 2017).
Chinese taking a survey are more state consequential than Americans taking the same survey as they think of the greater good.
